Oh Blue Glitter!!! A quick comparison :)

Well happy Friday to you all! One of my dear nail friends asked me to do a side by side comparison between Orly Flash Glam FX Spazmatic and Jordana Glitters Cosmic, she also asked to show any other blue glitters that might be similar... well I checked my stash and ooops! I have 6 blue glitters! Are you surprised? Well thankfully for my addiction collection, they are all different, see below:

As you can see none of them are dupes, here is how I would describe each of them, and I am still pretty new and unfamiliar with the "polish lingo":
  • Jordana Glitters Cosmic: clear base with hexagonal green, turquoise and silver glitter, also has smaller turquoise glitter, not sure if they are "micro glitter"
  • Orly Flash Glam FX Spazmatic: clear base with hexagonal turquoise glitter, almost the same color as the turquoise ones in "Cosmic", it also has what looks to me like micro glitter, in the bottle it looks as if they are a darker blue but when applied they are very subtle. This polish seems to separate/glitter settles a bit which can be annoying but rolling it a couple times gets rid of that issue.
  • OPI Going Gonzo': clear base, hexagonal silver glitter, small light blue glitter.
  • OPI Last Friday Night: clear base, small multicolored hexagonal glitter, the color seems to look different depending on the angle. Mine settles, like "Spazmatic", but rolling helps.
  • Ulta Indigo-Go Girl: On the darker side, clear base, dark blue, a bit on gthe purple side small hexagonal glitter with smaller glitter on the same shade.
  • Sinful Colors Nail Junkie: blue/green base, small hexagonal multicolored glitter.
In case there are any doubts left, a closer look of Jordana Glitters Cosmic and Orly Flash Glam FX Spazmatic :

Oh yeah, I decided to take pictures outside today, and of course there is barely any sun! Ugh! Hope you enjoyed this comparison, if you want my opinion, while I love all these glitters, if I had to pick one it would be Jordana Glitters Cosmic, because I like how the green, silver and turquoise glitters look together, it was also the easiest one to work with, looks great over black too! (You can see my post here where I wore it over black). Jordana Glitters, at least in my area are sold at Kmart for about $2 a piece and they are having buy one get one 50% off until tomorrow 10/06/2012 :)

  1. Thank you so much for this, I couldn't tell from your other blog but from this one I can clearly see that I like the Jordana glitters cosmic better than the spazmatic!

  3. Thanks for the comparison Fiorella! I have OPI Last Friday Night but was always scared to wear it because I thought it would look wild, but it's not at all!

  4. That Sinful Colors glitter is a stunner! I'm not always a huge fan of blue polishes (especially flashier ones), but that one would have me giving blues a second thought.
